Picture day!

We made our way to the crazy mall a few weeks ago for a photo session. Tanner got some gift cards for his birthday, which is a really clever idea, so we decided to finally cash them in. He did really great, better than I expected being that he normally doesn't sit still for more than oh 22 seconds! We had a great time and I am sure everyone else did too listening to us make crazy noises to get him to look at us and the camera. Here are a few of our favorites. Hard to believe the next time we go it will be a family of 4 picture!

our 5 year anniversary get-a-way

Mike and I took a nice weekend together to celebrate our 5 years of marriage, wow I know right!!! We just went to the 'burgh for the night and had a great time. We shopped around and ate and saw a movie. We took and great ride on the incline, the city is so beautiful! Walked all around the shops on the strip and had an amazing breakfast with the best pancakes I have ever tasted. It was so nice and relaxing and we realized how important it is to have that time together as well as our family time. Although, I did wonder quite often what Tanner was doing without us. He had a great time with his Nana though!

Most days when we get home from Grandma's Tanner makes a b-line for the snack cabinet. (How do they always know where that one is!) He grabs his favorite snack and plops down on the kitchen floor. He manages to scarf down a couple of cheesies puffs before having to give it up as to not spoil his dinner, I am such a party pooper huh! It is so funny how he tears the lid off and goes to town. I can just see him when he is a teenager standing at the snack cupboard, like we all do, waiting for something to jump out at him. It is just so funny to see all of the things they learn to do and just observe and giggle.

I have been snooping long enough!

I decided I have been watching everyone else have fun at this blogging thing and I thought I would try it myself. I love reading about what all of you are up to and thought it would be nice to journal our "exciting" lives as well. The word exciting can mean so many things like new furinture, our carpets being cleaned and a quick get-a-way to the Burgh for our Anniversary. (That sums up the past few days.) Exciting also is watching our son grow and learn and seeing our parents become fabulous grandparents and all of the fun in between. Quite a different definition from 10 or even 5 years ago, life is truly awesome! I know I will enjoy reporting our family fun as much as I enjoy reading everyone else's. Happy Blogging!
